Iwo Jima: Hell on Earth (Revised Edition)

Hello everyone!

As many of you know, Iwo Jima: Hell on Earth completely sold out within just a few months of its release. We want to extend a massive thank you to the entire wargaming community for your incredible support—we are truly blown away!

Since selling out, we’ve received countless messages from wargamers who missed out on the first print run, all asking for a reprint. We listened, weighed our options, and are thrilled to announce that a second printing is officially on the way as a Revised Edition!

What’s New in the Revised Edition?

Because we are heading back to the printers, we saw the perfect opportunity to integrate our community feedback directly into the game. The Revised Edition will feature:

  • Upgraded Map: A minor visual tweak where hill hex frames are slightly thicker, making them much easier to identify during intense gameplay.
  • Box Art Variant: A fresh, slight variation of the original box art (while keeping the classic spirit of the original design).
  • Fully Integrated Updates: All components from our Update Kit (detailed below) will come standard inside the box!

Pre-Orders Are Now Live!

The Revised Edition is officially available for pre-order right now!

  • Shipping Estimate: Q4 2026

⚠️ A Note to Our 1st Edition Owners: We’ve Got Your Back!

Our Philosophy: We care deeply about our players. This is not a “Second Edition” designed to force you into buying the game all over again. It is simply a second print run that gave us a convenient window to bundle our ongoing updates.

If you already own the 1st Edition, you do not need to buy this new version. To show our appreciation for your early support, we are offering the complete Update Kit for FREE (you only cover shipping).

Both the new Revised Edition box and the free Update Kit include:

  • Updated Rulebook: Complete with all clarifications and errata corrections.
  • Updated Player Aid Booklet: Fully corrected and updated.
  • 30 New Optional Counters: To expand your tactical options.
  • New Optional Player Aid Panel: Designed for smoother table presence.
  • New Optional Player Aid Sheet: For quick reference during play.

Thank you all again for making this game such a massive success. Whether you are a veteran of the first printing claiming your free update kit, or securing your copy of the new print run, we are honored to have you at our gaming tables.

Update #5: Graphic Design Progress – Peking: 55 Days of Fury

Hi everyone, Jose Neva here.

I’m pleased to share an update regarding the graphic design progress for Peking: 55 Days of Fury. Our team has been working hard to refine the visual experience, and I hope you enjoy this look at what we’ve been preparing!

1. The Game Board

We recently experimented with a fully illustrated version of the board. However, due to a lack of precise historical records regarding specific buildings in certain sectors, the map began to feel a bit empty—a sentiment echoed by several members of our community.

We faced a choice: add “filler” buildings to populate the illustration or return to a more authentic roots. We’ve decided to prioritize historical accuracy. The central section of the board now features a genuine map of the International Legations in Peking from 1900. This shift ensures the theme remains grounded in history while providing a clean, functional layout for gameplay.

2. Card Design

While we are still putting the finishing touches on the solitary mode cards, all other decks—including Faction, Common, and Fog of War cards—are now complete.

For the Fog of War cards, we’ve added a dedicated section at the bottom to provide historical context for special events. This addition helps bridge the gap between the card you’re playing and the real-world events they represent, making for a much more immersive experience.

3. Counters

The final counter design is set! The game will include three counter sheets (60 counters each) for a total of 180 counters. These include all the units and markers needed for standard play, as well as the specific counters required for the solitary mode.

Preorder this game now at a discounted price!

What’s Next?

We are currently finalizing the layout for the rulebook and player aid sheets. Once that is complete, we will move into:

  • Final Proofreading: Ensuring every detail is polished.
  • Printer Samples: Ordering a physical sample to verify component quality and color accuracy.
  • Video Content: Once the sample arrives, I’ll be recording videos to show off the components in detail and demonstrate the game mechanics.

As with our previous campaigns, we will share the final PDF of the rules with you as soon as they are laid out and proofread.

Thank you so much for your continued trust and support! We look forward to sharing more news with you very soon.

2nd Pre-order Campaign – Iwo Jima Update Kit Progress – Update #4

Hi everyone, Jose Neva here.

I’m pleased to share an update regarding the progress of the Iwo Jima Update Kit. Currently, all components for the English version have been drafted. The files are now in the hands of our rulebook editors for a final polish to ensure everything is clear and concise.

Once the English master version is finalized, we will immediately begin the Spanish translation.

In the meantime, we wanted to share some of the progress with you. Below, you’ll find visual previews and detailed explanations of what this update kit brings to your table.

WHAT’S INSIDE THE KIT?

1) Rulebook v 2.0: A fully revised edition featuring new difficulty modes, scenarios, and refined mechanics.

Expanded Rulebook: The rulebook has grown from 36 to 40 pages, allowing for more detailed explanations and clearer examples of play.

Streamlined Historical Content: To maximize space for gameplay mechanics, the illustrated historical prelude has been condensed into a focused, 2-page layout without losing its thematic impact.

Improved Setup & Clarity: We have completely overhauled the Game Setup layout for a faster start. Additionally, we’ve added vital clarifications on key mechanics, such as U.S. Control, to ensure a smoother experience.

New Difficulty Mode: A fresh challenge for veteran players looking to test their skills.

Two Additional Scenarios: We’ve included two brand-new scenarios to provide even more variety and replayability to your games.

2) Player Aid Booklet v 2.0: An updated version of the original reference booklet for faster consultation.

3) New Player Aid Sheet: A convenient, folded A4 summary sheet for quick reference.

4) New Player Aid Panel (Optional): A dedicated panel to help players track Combat DRM, Bombardment Points, and more.

5) 30 New Markers (Optional): We’re including 30 new markers for the Optional Player Aid Panel, but we didn’t stop there! Since we were using a half-counter sheet, we decided to fill the final four empty slots with four new Japanese Intelligence markers. It’s a great way to maximize the sheet and add even more variety to your intelligence pool.

5) Unit Marker Correction (145th Japanese Unit): We are taking this opportunity to fix a small typo on the 204th Japanese unit marker, which was missing the “th.” While we successfully updated the US 23rd Regiment in the original box, the 204th remained uncorrected. This update kit allows us to ensure every component meets our quality standards and is historically accurate.

My commitment to you was to improve the rules and player aids, but during development, we decided to include additional components to truly elevate the gameplay experience. Our goal is to ensure that our original supporters have the best version of the game possible.

Future-Proofing Your Game We want to ensure your collection remains current. Owners of the First Edition who add this Update Kit will have all the content necessary to match any potential future Second Edition.

December 2024 update

Today marks the end of our first year, and we’d like to reflect on our accomplishments and outline our plans for 2025.

2024 overview:

As you may know, we’re a small independent wargame publisher that embarked on this journey at the beginning of 2024. While our goal was to release our first game this year, establishing the company and building our brand consumed a significant portion of our time.

Throughout 2024, our brand has evolved significantly thanks to your invaluable support and feedback. Your input has been crucial in shaping our vision and determining the types of wargames we want to offer you. Click here to learn more about our three product lines.

This year, we officially announced six games that are now part of our “Incoming!” section (games currently under development). We’ve also seen impressive community growth: 21,000 website visits, nearly 500 newsletter subscribers, nearly 900 followers on X, 530 on Facebook, 580 on Instagram and 30 on Youtube. On Board Game Geek, we’ve garnered 7 fans and 15 subscribers. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who follows us and shows interest in our work.

Feel free to contact us anytime through social media, the contact form, or email. We welcome all feedback as we strive to enhance this hobby together.

While we didn’t achieve our initial goal of printing games in 2024, we successfully brought Iwo Jima to your tables as an easy-to-craft print-and-play game available to all newsletter subscribers. If you haven’t already, check it out here.

2024 flew by, and we often felt we needed more time to accomplish our goals. However, reflecting on this final monthly update, we realize we achieved more than we initially expected. This newfound confidence fuels our energy and enthusiasm as we look ahead to 2025.

What are our plans for 2025? Keep reading below!

2025 plans:

We have a wealth of ideas and are always striving for progress, but we understand the importance of focusing on one thing at a time. Therefore, we’ll share our general plan while keeping a few surprises in store throughout the year.

  1. Pre-order System:
Early 2025, we’ll introduce a pre-order system on our website.
We anticipate 1-2 pre-order waves throughout the year, each featuring two games.
You can choose to pre-order one or both games within a wave, potentially benefiting from combined shipping costs.
To initiate the printing process, we require 500 pre-orders between both games.
Pre-order at a discounted price and help us bring this project to life! Your payment is only processed if we reach the 500-order goal.
No further discounts will be offered after the pre-order period.
Games are expected to ship within 4-6 months of pre-order completion.
Directly purchasing from our website will be the only way to acquire our games.
Pre-ordering is the best way to guarantee your copy, as stock may be very limited or unavailable after the pre-order period.
Reprinting is possible but not guaranteed.
We’ll provide more details when announcing the first wave of pre-order games.
We deeply appreciate all pre-order participants, who we consider valuable members and contributors to our brand.
  2. Game Announcements:
Exciting game announcements are on the horizon!
We’ll gradually reveal new titles throughout the year, starting in January with the winner of our first prototype contest.
Stay tuned for these exciting reveals!
  3. Polls and Surveys:
Your feedback is invaluable to us.
We encourage you to share your thoughts via email or social media comments.
To further enhance your involvement, we’ll include a brief poll or survey in each monthly update.
This valuable input will help us improve.

We’re incredibly excited about 2025 and eagerly anticipate seeing our first games on your tables!

We are grateful for your continued support throughout the year.

Happy New Year to all!
