December 2024 update

Today marks the end of our first year, and we’d like to reflect on our accomplishments and outline our plans for 2025.

2024 overview:

As you may know, we’re a small independent wargame publisher that embarked on this journey at the beginning of 2024. While our goal was to release our first game this year, establishing the company and building our brand consumed a significant portion of our time.

Throughout 2024, our brand has evolved significantly thanks to your invaluable support and feedback. Your input has been crucial in shaping our vision and determining the types of wargames we want to offer you. Click here to learn more about our three product lines.

This year, we officially announced six games that are now part of our “Incoming!” section (games currently under development). We’ve also seen impressive community growth: 21,000 website visits, nearly 500 newsletter subscribers, nearly 900 followers on X, 530 on Facebook, 580 on Instagram and 30 on Youtube. On Board Game Geek, we’ve garnered 7 fans and 15 subscribers. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who follows us and shows interest in our work.

Feel free to contact us anytime through social media, the contact form, or email. We welcome all feedback as we strive to enhance this hobby together.

While we didn’t achieve our initial goal of printing games in 2024, we successfully brought Iwo Jima to your tables as an easy-to-craft print-and-play game available to all newsletter subscribers. If you haven’t already, check it out here.

2024 flew by, and we often felt we needed more time to accomplish our goals. However, reflecting on this final monthly update, we realize we achieved more than we initially expected. This newfound confidence fuels our energy and enthusiasm as we look ahead to 2025.

What are our plans for 2025? Keep reading below!

2025 plans:

We have a wealth of ideas and are always striving for progress, but we understand the importance of focusing on one thing at a time. Therefore, we’ll share our general plan while keeping a few surprises in store throughout the year.

  1. Pre-order System:
Early 2025, we’ll introduce a pre-order system on our website.
We anticipate 1-2 pre-order waves throughout the year, each featuring two games.
You can choose to pre-order one or both games within a wave, potentially benefiting from combined shipping costs.
To initiate the printing process, we require 500 pre-orders between both games.
Pre-order at a discounted price and help us bring this project to life! Your payment is only processed if we reach the 500-order goal.
No further discounts will be offered after the pre-order period.
Games are expected to ship within 4-6 months of pre-order completion.
Directly purchasing from our website will be the only way to acquire our games.
Pre-ordering is the best way to guarantee your copy, as stock may be very limited or unavailable after the pre-order period.
Reprinting is possible but not guaranteed.
We’ll provide more details when announcing the first wave of pre-order games.
We deeply appreciate all pre-order participants, who we consider valuable members and contributors to our brand.
  2. Game Announcements:
Exciting game announcements are on the horizon!
We’ll gradually reveal new titles throughout the year, starting in January with the winner of our first prototype contest.
Stay tuned for these exciting reveals!
  3. Polls and Surveys:
Your feedback is invaluable to us.
We encourage you to share your thoughts via email or social media comments.
To further enhance your involvement, we’ll include a brief poll or survey in each monthly update.
This valuable input will help us improve.

We’re incredibly excited about 2025 and eagerly anticipate seeing our first games on your tables!

We are grateful for your continued support throughout the year.

Happy New Year to all!

🟥MODERN | STRATEGIC | 1-2 PLAYERS  | DURATION 120-180′
GAME DESIGN: FRAN MARISCAL

All samples below are from playtest graphics, not final game art.

REBELLION & PUNISHMENT: WAR OF THE ALPUJARRAS

The path to the War of the Alpujarras (1568-1571) began with the conquest of the Kingdom of Granada by the Catholic Monarchs in 1492. Decades of tensions and the forced assimilation of the Moriscos culminated in the 1568 rebellion, aimed at reestablishing a Muslim kingdom in southern Spain.

In December 1568, Hernando de Valor, a descendant of the Umayyads, adopted the name Aben Humeya and was proclaimed king of the Moriscos. Despite attempts such as the uprising in the Albaicín district of Granada, the war spread rapidly throughout the former Nasrid kingdom.

“Rebellion & Punishment: The Alpujarras War” is a card-driven strategy game that recreates the war between the rebel Moriscos who attempted to re-establish the Muslim Kingdom of Granada and the Christian troops of the Kingdom of Spain who fought to prevent it.

Cards are played as Action Points or as Events, allowing players to advance across the terrain or perform actions specific to their faction.

The game map reproduces the entire territory of the former Nasrid Kingdom of Granada and includes the areas where uprisings and battles took place.

Among the Morisco troops are the Monfíes, Muslim bandits who did not accept the Nasrid surrender and had been waging a guerrilla war in the Sierra Nevada mountains for decades, and the Gandules, militias of young men who organized around the mosques. Later, they received help from Turkish Janissaries and Berber corsairs, and even Mujahideen arrived to fight in the Holy War against the Christians.

Meanwhile, fearing Ottoman expansion and a new Muslim kingdom, Philip II sent his half-brother, Don Juan of Austria, to suppress the rebellion. The conflict turned into a civil war that pitted Christians against Muslims, with the participation of Spanish tercios, Berber corsairs, and Ottoman soldiers.

Will you become Don Juan of Austria, defending Christian Spain for King Philip II? Or will you embrace the mantle of Aben Humeya, striving to restore a Muslim kingdom on the Iberian Peninsula? The fate of the Alpujarras rests in your hands.

Help Rebellion & Punishment succeed by signing up on our website and adding the game to your wishlist! This small act shows your interest and lets us know there’s excitement for this title.

🟦CONTEMPORARY | OPERATIONAL | 1-2 PLAYERS  | DURATION 180-240′
GAME DESIGN: JESÚS PÉREZ

Immerse yourself in the heart of the Spanish Civil War with Jarama: The Battle For Madrid, a captivating two-player simulation game that recreates the pivotal Battle of Jarama. This operational showdown pits the Nationalist forces, led by General Varela, against the determined Republican defenders, as they clash in a desperate struggle for control of Madrid.

The Battle of Jarama, fought from February 6 to 27, 1937, marked the third and bloodiest attempt by the Nationalists to capture Madrid, the heart of the Republican resistance. As the Nationalists sought to sever Madrid’s lifeline to the Mediterranean port of Valencia, the Republicans stood firm, determined to protect their capital and the cause of the Republic.

In Jarama, each player assumes the command of either the Nationalist or Republican forces, maneuvering their troops across the battlefield in a tactical dance of conquest and defense. The game utilizes a very particular chit-activation system, ensuring that each decision carries weight and every move has the potential to alter the course of the battle. The chit-activation systems makes this game suitable to be played solo by playing both sides of the conflict.

As the Nationalist player, your primary objective is to cut off the Valencia road, effectively isolating Madrid and crippling the Republican war effort. To achieve this, you must skillfully employ your forces, utilizing their strengths and exploiting enemy weaknesses. Seize historical key cities and hills along the way, for they will not only bolster your strategic position but also provide valuable victory points.

If you command the Republican forces, your mission is to halt the Nationalist advance, protect the vital Valencia road, and ultimately launch a counteroffensive to push the enemy back to their starting positions. This will require unwavering resilience, strategic planning, and the ability to adapt to the ever-changing tides of battle.

🟦 CONTEMPORARY | TACTICAL | 1-2 PLAYERS  | DURATION 180′
GAME DESIGN: PERRY MOORE

As the sun sets on July 11, 1943, both sides prepare for the largest tank battle of World War II! Nearly a week of grueling slaughter has finally gained the 1st SS Panzer Division a few kilometers towards their objective: Prokhorovka. So close, yet so far!

The Russian 18th and 29th Tank Corps have been beaten back, but they are not defeated. Replenished with tanks, they will be the sledgehammer in their only planned counterattack. This has to work! It cannot fail!

Both enemies planned their offensives to begin on July 12th, but neither side is aware of the other’s plan. As dawn breaks, the roar of over 300 tanks signals the coming clash.

Now, YOU are in control. YOU are in command! How will your strategy succeed or will it fail in WW2’s greatest, epic, tank battle that history still talks about?

It is ALL IN YOUR HANDS!
