Hi everyone, Jose Neva here.
I’m pleased to share an update regarding the graphic design progress for Peking: 55 Days of Fury. Our team has been working hard to refine the visual experience, and I hope you enjoy this look at what we’ve been preparing!
1. The Game Board

We recently experimented with a fully illustrated version of the board. However, due to a lack of precise historical records regarding specific buildings in certain sectors, the map began to feel a bit empty—a sentiment echoed by several members of our community.
We faced a choice: add “filler” buildings to populate the illustration or return to a more authentic roots. We’ve decided to prioritize historical accuracy. The central section of the board now features a genuine map of the International Legations in Peking from 1900. This shift ensures the theme remains grounded in history while providing a clean, functional layout for gameplay.
2. Card Design

While we are still putting the finishing touches on the solitary mode cards, all other decks—including Faction, Common, and Fog of War cards—are now complete.
For the Fog of War cards, we’ve added a dedicated section at the bottom to provide historical context for special events. This addition helps bridge the gap between the card you’re playing and the real-world events they represent, making for a much more immersive experience.
3. Counters

The final counter design is set! The game will include three counter sheets (60 counters each) for a total of 180 counters. These include all the units and markers needed for standard play, as well as the specific counters required for the solitary mode.

What’s Next?
We are currently finalizing the layout for the rulebook and player aid sheets. Once that is complete, we will move into:
- Final Proofreading: Ensuring every detail is polished.
- Printer Samples: Ordering a physical sample to verify component quality and color accuracy.
- Video Content: Once the sample arrives, I’ll be recording videos to show off the components in detail and demonstrate the game mechanics.
As with our previous campaigns, we will share the final PDF of the rules with you as soon as they are laid out and proofread.
Thank you so much for your continued trust and support! We look forward to sharing more news with you very soon.
